The teachers union protested in front of Bharathidasan University.
The Tamil Nadu Government College Teachers’ Association and the University Teachers’ Association have joined forces to oppose the administrative malpractice of Bharathidasan University.Students and teachers staged a demonstration in front of the university entrance yesterday evening, saying they were against the hostility.
The demonstration was led by Tamil Nadu Government College Teachers Association State President David Livingstone.Xavier Selvakumar, State Treasurer, University Teachers’ Association, Gopalakrishnan, Vice President, Government College Teachers’ Association took the lead.
Charles Selvaras, secretary of Tiruchi Zonal Government College Teachers’ Association and many regional in-charges and branch in-charges of the two associations were present.They raised slogans emphasizing various demands including that the university should award degrees to the students without delay.
