Security has also been beefed up at the Trichy airport. This security will continue until further notice, said an official of the Central Industrial Security Force of the airport.
Everything from the screening of vehicles entering the airport to the screening of passengers’ belongings is allowed into the airport area only after screening. Also, boxes of goods exported from Trichy airport are allowed to enter the airport only after inspection.
Also, an investigation is being carried out to find out if there are any unwanted vehicles parked in the airport parking lots. Apart from this, if any passenger entered the airport area suspiciously, they are also being investigated. Passengers’ belongings are being searched with the help of sniffer dogs.
