A red-tailed crow trapped in the collector’s office was rescued.
A rare bird called the red-tailed crow was spotted near the entrance gate of the Trichy collector office building at 9 am yesterday.As the upper window was covered with glass and there were many people below, it could not fly out.Due to this, it took shelter in the pad on the first floor.
Seeing this, the Collector M. Pradeep Kumar informed the fire department and told the authorities to rescue the bird and release it.Following this, the fire brigade led by Trichy Cantonment Fire Station Officer Kathirvel arrived there with a ladder.As they tried to climb the ladder, the bird started flying hither and thither.Thus they could not catch it. By then, the bird flew away, went to the 2nd floor through the staircase and took shelter in the window bar there.
Following this, fire station officer Kathirvel went there and caught the bird.Then after the collector office worker there gave it water and relieved it,They brought it out and flew it. This incident created a commotion there for a while.
