St. Joseph’s College, Trichy beat Karunya University, Coimbatore by 25-22, 25-20 in the league matches.Jamal Mohammed College ‘A’, Trichy defeated St. Joseph’s College, Trichy by 25-23, 25-19.

Bishop Heber College, Trichy defeated Jamal Mohammed College ‘B’ team by 25-17, 25-21.Krishnan Kovil Kalasilingam University defeated Karunya University, Coimbatore by 23-25, 25-23, 25-17.

And in other matches Tirupattur Pure Heart College, Coimbatore Ratnam College, Tirupathur Pure Heart College,Jamal Muhammad College ‘B’ Team, Jamal Muhammad College ‘A’ Team, Kalasilingam University Team, Bishop Heber College, Coimbatore Ratnam College, St. Joseph’s College, Kalasilingam University,Jamal Mohammed College ‘B’ team also defeated Ratnam College team.

The state level women’s cricket tournament in Trichy started yesterday at Bishop Heber College Ground, Tiruchy.

The 4-day women’s cricket tournament is played as a 20-over tournament known as T20 in a knock-out format.8 teams from various districts including Trichy, Chennai, Salem, Madurai, Villupuram are participating in this tournament.

Earlier the women’s cricket match was organized by CSI. Trichy-Tanjo was inaugurated by Archbishop Chandrasekaran. The awarding ceremony will be held on the 7th.
